Village of Victor School Street Reconstruction

The School Street/Rawson Road area experienced a significant amount of truck and vehicular traffic. It was in desperate need of reconstruction due to the narrow roadway, poor soil conditions, flooding, and the significant number of accidents which have occurred over the years in this area.

Chatfield Engineers, P.C. provided Design and Construction Phase Engineering Services for:

• Reconstruction of 1,500 LF of Roadway
• Reconfiguration of Intersection Layout
• 1,640 LF of New Storm Sewer
• 1,600 LF of Water Main Replacement
• 1,400 LF of Sanitary Sewer Replacement

This project required close coordination with:

• The Village of Victor Department of Public Works
• Several underground Utility Companies
• Several Businesses
• Concerned Residents
• A Child Daycare Center

This project was successfully completed through close coordination and communication between the involved parties.

The reconfigured intersection of School Street and Rawson Road provides a safe flow of traffic, and has minimized the occurrence of accidents in the project vicinity.
