Village of Silver Springs Bigelow Avenue Intersection Improvement
The Village of Silver Springs initiated the extension of Bigelow Avenue to allow direct access for tractor trailers to NYS Route 19A. The extension reduced tractor trailer traffic on Village streets and improves access to the Morton Salt Factory.
Chatfield Engineers, P.C. provided the Design and Construction Phase Services for the extension of Bigelow Avenue, prepared the Bid Package, and oversaw the construction of the entire Project, including installation of a drainage system to accommodate the necessary improvements.
This Project required close coordination with the Village of Silver Springs, Utility companies, Morton Salt Company, NYS Department of Transportation, and the residents impacted by the Project.
