Village of Angelica Water Treatment Plant

Chatfield Engineers, P.C. provided the Design and Construction Phase Services associated with the Village of Angelica Water Treatment Plant project.

The village’s spring supply was determined by the NYS Department of Health to be “groundwater under the direct influence of surface water” (GWUDI).

The completed project achieved the following goals:

• Water Quality was significantly improved by the installation of the bag filtration system and ultra violet disinfection.
  
• Source Capacity was accomplished by completing spring supply improvements and a new well was drilled.
  
• Safety and Security Improvements were made including: lighting, gates, fences and alarms.

The project was completed with financing obtained from USDA Rural Development and within the $525,000 budget.
