Town of Shelby Bates Road Reconstruction
The Town of Shelby Bates Road Reconstruction Project consisted of the reconstruction of approximately 1,700 linear feet of roadway along Bates Road from NYS Route 31A to approximately 700 linear feet north of the entrance to the Western New York Ethanol Facility. In addition approximately 500 linear feet of roadway was constructed into the Medina Business park.
The roadway improvements included adding an additional turning lane, increasing the turning radius and widening the shoulder at the intersection of NYS Route 31A and Bates Road; and relocating a meter-vault, and water main at the intersection.
Bates Road was raised approximately 2-feet at the intersection of NYS Route 31A to improve site distance.
