The project also involved the horizontal boring under NYS Route 31 and the open cut crossing of GVT railroad tracks. The existing railroad tracks were completely removed and reassembled to allow for the installation of the new storm sewer, sanitary sewer and casing pipe for the water main. The Village of Albion Department of Public Works completed the road reconstruction portion of the project. The road work involved a complete boxout of the existing road, installation of new stone subbase, new concrete curbing and placement of new asphalt pavement.
