Chatfield Engineers, P.C., moved from rental property on English Road to its new building at 2800 Dewey Avenue in the Summer of 2008.

The new office on Dewey Avenue went through a complete transformation from a former strip plaza to a professional building that compliments its commercial neighbors to just north and south of it.

Construction began the previous year based on a new design by Architect Tom Simbari, of Simbari Design Architects, PLLC.  Clearing out, and gutting the entire 5,700 S.F. proved to be a challenge working through a maze of rooms that had been cobbled together as businesses came and went. 

When the shell was ready for construction to begin, Contractor Lewis Carpenter used steel for interior wall framing which opened the new space to create 10-foot ceilings.  

Chatfield Engineers’ own employees completed finish work including paint, trim, tile and stone.  Paul Chatfield built the reception area desks and filing cabinets, break room and copy room cabinetry.
